a temporary arrangement of material
- Spray paint
- Digital NFT
- NFTs released January 2024
- Physical counterparts in progress
- A temporary arrangement of material is exactly as it sounds. Run a set of shapes through an algorithm and the same through human hands. Place them side by side, and in the space between paint, paper, pixel, and code we find that no iteration is final.

portraits
- Mirror
- Digital NFT
- First 12 mirrors released December 2023
- Ongoing
- Portraits is a collection of mirrors that reinterprets what a portrait depicts. Each mirror is based on a name, a word, or a phrase that is algorithmically translated into nestling rectangles of color. Inviting dialogue with its viewers through imbued text, form, color, and fragmented reflections, each mirror is just as exact and slippery as the language used to create it.

Color Dot Font
- Font
- Plug-in
- First released 2017
- Re-released 2024
- Color Dot Font is a font composed entirely of colored circles. In the font, each Latin character is replaced with a circle of a certain color. For example, an "a" character is represented by a green circle, a "t" character by a grey circle, and so forth. Available as a TTF file, the font can be installed and used on any computer operating system.
- In 2023, Color Dot’s colors were updated, and its dot size and spacing reformatted to work in tandem with 188 Sans Mono.

Abstract Type Generator
- Font
- Live Generator
- July 2022
- The Abstract Type Generator picks up where Color Dot Font leaves off. If type can be colored circles, it could really be anything. The Generator allows users to create custom typefaces by manipulating a range of parameters—everything from color (hue, saturation, and lightness) to shape (circular versus rectilinear, number of sides, angle of tilt) to resolution. The generator also allows users to create compositions with their fonts using a selection of paragraph styles.
188 Sans
- Typeface
- August 2021
- 188 Sans is a sans-serif typeface available in a range of styles. Its Regular weight was drawn loosely based on Monotype Grotesque, and recalls early 20th century workhorse sans-serifs. From there, 188 branches off along two axes. On one axis, 188 varies in weight and width—its extremes, Black Extended and Thin Condensed. On its other, 188 moves through grids of progressively coarser resolutions to create Pixel 70 and Pixel 100.

Geometric Sans
- Typeface
- 2021?
- Geometric Sans is a typeface designed to be as round as possible, optimistic, and subtly delightful. Its creation was based on the question: What are the boundaries of the familiar? In answer to that, elements such as the tittles and the ascenders are exaggerated, but never to the point where they become disruptive. The cumulative effect of these fine-tuned details is a pleasant texture that sits in the sweet spot between the wholly unremarkable and the noticeably quirky.

Sunnyside
- Typeface
- December 2021
- Sunnyside is a slab serif rooted in the aesthetic language of 70’s California. Equal parts fun and functional, its Regular weight calls to mind a proportional version of Courier or a slightly wonkier Stymie. Sunnyside’s variable feature allows its letterforms to gradually increase reverse stress, maxing out with the extreme contrast of Sunnyside Reverse. Taken together, the typeface offers a “choose your own adventure” experience not unlike a day drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Opt for a straight shot up the 5 with Sunnyside Regular, dial in a little reverse contrast for a scenic ride up Highway 101, or go full Reverse and hit the Pacific Coast Highway for a longer, stranger trip.

KIMBROUGH
- Typeface
- 2021?
- KIMBROUGH was designed for an album of 61 original compositions by legendary jazz musician and educator Frank Kimbrough, who passed away in December 2020. The font consists of narrow uppercase letters that reference the compressed typography of New York street signage, and Trade Gothic, a typeface used on a number of classic Blue Note album covers designed by Reid Miles.
